Final - Natural Beauty - New Holland Honeyeater

Following on from blog dated 28 March 2016 where I started work on the New Holland Honeyeater 'Phylidonyris novaehollandiae'. Final artwork is now complete and ready for framing. I loved working with water colour and pencil for this piece. These mediums together helped develop detail and texture, particularly for the various feathers such as those on the birds soft and fluffy chest and the detailed barbs on its back.

Looking back at some of my work in recent months, I believe my confidence is growing as I enjoy the process to final artwork. To the next project : cyclamen perisicum.
