Vincent's Inspiration

Today in our lives, we seem to take a lot of important things for granted. The connection between us and our natural environment drifts further and further apart. The earth provides us with everything we need to survive, it also provides us with inspiration for art.

Vincent van Gogh saw nature and art as linked. Nowhere did he find as much inspiration, peace and solace as in the countryside. '… if I felt no love for nature and my work, then I would be unhappy.’ To his brother Theo, from The Hague, 26 July 1882.
